Family Vacation 2016

There is just nothing more special or memorable than the annual summer family vacation. We had a wonderful week staying at Christmas Mountain Village in Lake Delton (near the Dells) this year.  Highlights included:

Mini-golfing: The girls were thrilled that we had onsite mini-golfing, and managed to get in several rounds before the week was over.

Mirror Lake State Park: We hiked the Echo Rock trail, and the girls loved the climbing!
The two mountain goats, while Bryndel stayed a little closer to safety of the bottom.
 We picnicked from the top!

Swimming: The resort had a great indoor pool complete with a small waterslide that all three repeatedly enjoyed.

Fishing: Super cute little pond right on the resort just right for catching a few sunfish.

Devil's Lake State Park: It is no wonder this is Wisconsin's best park, it was incredible
Beautiful rocky steps throughout the trail. It was so fun, that Bryndel walked almost the entire time!
Our first attempt at a family picture with the beautiful view below. Thank goodness for Kyle's long arms, no need for a selfie stick!
Thankfully we found a few fellow hikers willing to snap a couple at the tippy top.
Golfing: This was a family first.  Both Hadley & Piper did wonderfully!  It was SO much fun, and the start of something new for our family. Bryndel was super happy to tag along in the cart, for now :)

Mt.Olympus Water Park: We finished out our last day by braving one of the many ENORMOUS water parks in the Dells.

Ice Cream Every Day: We took pride in adhering to the strict Anderson Family vacation rule, and enjoyed some very good ice cream over the week!

And most importantly,
Sister Time:
Nothing better than a few days away to bond with your sisters :)  Like hiking through caves and crevices!

Picnicking IN the lake!

What a blessing to have had this week together.  Can't hardly wait for next summer's adventure!
