Spring!

Spring means checking out the sandbox for the first time. And if you are Bryndel, that also means being constantly on the lookout for a worm to wiggle into your hand as well!  She adores worms right now.  Oh my!
Piper has been enjoying the new beach sand in the sandbox as well, but mostly enjoys seeing how fast she can race from one end of the backyard to the other.

Hadley has been busy checking out the new hose; how well it fills her sand moat, how well it waters the grass, how well it waters the new rose bushes, how well it sprays a sister!?

Spring also means the first toasted marshmallow!  Not to worry, she enjoyed it so much that she can be seen in the following picture asking for 'more' with those big brown eyes.

And of course, spring also means a beautiful school music program held this evening.  Both big sisters sang their hearts out. God is so good.

20.5 Months

Twenty and a half months is an odd age to celebrate, right?  Except when I remember back to when Hadley became thee big sister, at the ripe old age of 20.5 months!  Here she is sitting at the hospital after happily holding and oogling over her new baby sister ...

We squeezed Piper into that dress when she was 20.5 months (and were really glad that she wasn't turning into a big sister that day!).
As you can plainly see, Bryndel was more than happy to don the dress this past weekend and hardly wanted to take it off.  We are glad she is the little sister!

Las Vegas

While we were in Las Vegas this past weekend (Kyle had a seminar), the girls were treated to some extra love first from Paige then followed by Grandma & Grandpa!  I am not sure who was more excited for this trip; them or us?  Unfortunately, the photo that best describes Paige's leg of the journey (Thursday & Friday) is of Bryndel's slightly unhappy I-am-so-confused/sad-without-my-mom-I-am-not-gonna-eat face. For the love!  SO sorry, Paige! You rock!
Hadley & Piper adored having Paige take them to and from school; and we know that Bryndel will feel that way soon :).  After much hard work, Paige was able to get that little stinker to eat more than just her fingers, and even got a smile or two out of her.

Grandma brought along her camera, and managed to capture a lot of delight... Delight in having Grandma & Grandpa ALL to themselves!

Cookies and milk at the park, oh my! Grandma & Grandpa really know how to do it! They also visited 3 different parks, flew a kite, baked those cookies, read books, did homework, went out to eat, and probably all slept like rocks at night, hehe.
I think its safe to say they had a grand time!  Thanks again, Grandma & Grandpa for such a special fun-filled weekend!
Meanwhile, we had a wonderful time enjoying the Vegas night life as well as some 90 degree sunshine!  Hopefully we brought a little of that sunshine back with us to the Midwest?
