Hunting & Shopping Weekend

Can you tell that Bryndel has been anxiously awaiting this weekend?  While the hunters got everything packed up Friday evening, Grandma got right down to business crafting with the girls :)

Hadley was the first lucky hunter, and woke at 5 a.m. with Kyle & Grandpa on Saturday!  She & Grandpa had a really special morning together visiting, snacking, and reading in Grandpa's enclosed and heated deer stand.  They even spotted a doe together at daybreak.

Kyle spent the whole day in a tree by himself (this is a selfie).  Thankfully, the weather was far warmer this year compared to last!
Halfway through the day, we did a little switcheroo - and Piper & Grandpa got time to be buddies!

Meanwhile, we were having our own kind of fun with Grandma! Special treats, shopping, projects, & reading of course!

Thanks for the special weekend, Grandma & Grandpa!  We enjoyed every bit of it :)

Happy 8th Birthday, Hadley!

Our happy Hadley turns 8 today!! Our home overflows with happiness because of this kid. Whether its a made up song, or a tune hummed under her breath, or some crazy made up game she's playing with her sisters... it is always with joy & happiness.  And we are so blessed by her sweet, haphazardly happy way of life.  We love you, Hadley B.
We celebrated with her school friends over the weekend.  It was a girly, giggly house to say the least :)  But, very fun!  Can you tell she's anxious for the party to begin in this photo?
Little sisters were excited too!
Her sweet expression while her friends were (VERY loudly) singing to her!
And here she is tonight, after a long but fun day at school - reading her new Kindle in her new rainboots,  hehe.

And, yep, my husband is still the cake boss!! The girls finally watched 'Frozen' last weekend, and have been obsessed with Olaf ever since :) Happy birthday, Sweet Hadley!

Happy Veterans Day!

Piper & Hadley have the privilege of hanging a star today in honor of their Great-Grandpas at their school's Veterans Day celebration! We sure love you Opa Steck and Opa Graham. Thank you for loving and serving our country. God bless America!

Halloween 2014

It was a cool but bright & beautiful Halloween night.  Hadley chose a book character she has enjoyed reading about this year; Caddie Woodlawn - a young prairie girl from the mid-late 1800s in this part of WI.  Piper wore my M&M costume that my mom lovingly made in the late 80s!  And Bryndel happily donned her owl costume from last year, and wore it with far more enthusiasm and 'who whoos'!

We even popped out to the land with hopes of trick or treating in our future neighborhood.  While no one was home, we did get a pretty good idea of what our future driveway will look like with costumed sisters on it :).  Grandma appropriately called it the 'Landerson' photo!

And just for fun, here is that little owl from last Halloween!
