Decade

We have had a whole decade of, Bryndel love!! Happy Birthday, sweet Bimmy! We love the laughter, antics, sweet notes, craziness, and joy you bring to our family! We are so happy God completed our family with you❤

Piper is 14!

Piper is 14! And, officially taller than Hadley today at 5'9"😄 We are so thankful for her quiet spirit and encouragement in our family, and look forward to many years of watching her competitive side out on the court! We love you, Piper❤

North Carolina

We spent an adventurous week in North Carolina with Nathan and family! Plenty of beautiful smoky mountains, waterfall hikes, good food, and a whole lot of cousin laughter! 

Sunday, July 17th

We arrived in the evening with enough time to enjoy our first brewery (of about a dozen over the week) and enjoyed a delicious food truck and mini golf together!

Monday, July 18th

We hiked the upper Catawba Falls in Black Moutain, which was where our cabin was located.

Tuesday, July 19th

We went into Asheville today for a little sight seeing, art galleries, shopping and of course breweries. 

We made sure to eat ice cream every day with the cousins!

Wednesday, July 20th

Today was more commonly known as Wet Wednesday, but it did begin quite dry as we hiked Grandfather Mountain State Park and trekked across their mile high Bridge!

We stopped at Linvall Falls on our way back and managed to get stuck in a thunderstorm while on a very rocky, difficult hike. More than one cousin ended up in tears, and only two of our ten actually made it to the falls. All were safe in the end, and it is almost comical now. Almost. 

Thursday, July 21st

We hiked Stairstep Falls near our cabin today, and then had pizza at Pisgah Brewery with live music.

Friday, July 22nd

We toured the nearly 180,000 square foot Biltmore Estate today! It was every bit incredible as we had imagined.

Saturday, July 23rd

Today was a super hot 95 degree day, so we headed to Lake Lure Beach! Followed by the kids' first time ziplining!! 

Sunday, July 24th

We finished out our last day by mini- golfing and our last (and best) brewery at Sierra Nevada. 

It was such a special week of cousin togetherness!! We loved it all!

July 2022

It was a warm month, but we found good ways to cool off! We celebrated our independence at the lake!

Stained our front porch cherry beams for the first time.

Tried out a new slip n slide, and spent an afternoon on the river.

And we continue to be amazed by God's majesty in each and every sunset.
