August Already!

Its hard to believe that August is already upon us! We've been busy trying to check off a few last minute summer bucket list items as well as getting ready for a couple of special birthdays around here.  We spent a morning out blueberry picking last week, and while the pickings were slim the girls certainly enjoyed themselves!
Last summer, Bryndel crawled between the rows and ate dirt, so this time was a lot more fun for the both of us!

Piper found a toad as minute as a blueberry, and had as much fun playing with him as she did picking berries.

And Hadley was so busy trying to pick up a bird's nest and a snake (!) that she hardly had time to add any berries to the bucket!

A couple warm afternoons later, we broke out the slip & slide for the first time this summer.  

Bryndel preferred to comfortably watch it all from the sidelines :).  We also hit the County Fair last weekend with our good friends the Rislers, but I somehow managed to leave my camera behind.  

And we were treated to a visit from our buddy, Cyndy, this week as well! Summer might be on its last leg, but we are still going strong  and enjoying every moment :).
