March 2021

It has been an exciting month of watching the progress on our new home! The weather is getting more hopeful & springlike, and our middle schoolers will even get to go back FOUR days a week to school now! Whew. God is so good.

We had a fun day at the farm!
Piper got braces!
Cyndy came out to see our house progress :)

We spent a lovely weekend in MN celebrating Easter!
And sometime, over the past year, we ventured someplace warm together!! In the current social climate, such details are best kept privately. But, we are strong, healthy, and confident that God's got this!! And, we sure had fun!

Jan & Feb 2021

It seems like things have started to pick up a bit! Both Hadley & Piper have seen some court time, a little math counts, art club, and even youth group again - Praise God! On top of all these fun activities starting up again, our house is really starting to look like a house at the land! We are still prayerful that Hadley & Piper would get to start going to school 4 days in-person yet too. Feels like hope and excitement are in the air; such a difference from a year ago. Again, thank you God!

Bryndel had virtual school for two weeks in Jan, so Grandma & Glenn came to be her teachers for a day!
Caught a BB game of Hadley's too.
Piper has officially grown taller than me!

Piper #52, at the free throw line.

December 2020

We had a wonderful December preparing to celebrate Christmas together! We even spent a night in MN with the Grahams, and a night in Northern WI with the Andersons.  Being together was such a blessing!

Bryndel continues to be able to attend school 5 days a week, while Hadley & Piper continue to attend MS on a hybrid schedule with virtual school three days a week.

And, our house at the land has officially begun!!! 2021 is going to be a great year!

November 2020

We spent a lot of time hunting and virtual schooling in November. One was more fun than the other, ha!

We also had a blast of summer weather that we all enjoyed. The girls even had a reading party one afternoon!

Hadley turned 14 and decorated her own cake!
And we cut down our trees at the land in preparation for Christmas - Fa la la!

October 2020

It was a bit of a cold October, with local snow records and everything! Thankfully, the girls stayed busy with in-person school, virtual school, a little VB, tennis, and some hunting with Dad too.

Piper had a short (5 week) first tennis season, but sure had fun while it lasted! Hadley's VB season was equally as short, but equally as fun! With spectators limited due to Covid, we even got to watch her live streamed from home twice.

We got snow!

But thankfully it all melted in time for an abbreviated Halloween party & parade at school. Due to local Covid trick or treating 'guidelines' we had a party at home instead 😁

With this fun crew! We took this same photo 4 years ago. After the photo 4 years ago, Nolan bit Cy in the back. Thankfully, that portion was not recreated this time!

We finished out the weekend with Uncle Buck's (Kyle's) birthday, AND and a Vikings win!!

September 2020

September has been an exciting month as we got back to school, and some serious hunting was done as well!

Our big 2nd grader! Bryndel gets to attend 5 days a week at her little private elementary school, praise God!

Our brand new middle schooler! Piper (along with Hadley) gets to attend two days of in-person school, and three days of virtual from home. She is making the best of it, but it is weird to say the least! She even joined the tennis team!

Our nearly high schooler! Hadley loves 8th grade, and even gets to have a month of VB practices and games, as long as they social distance and wear masks, hehe.

This is what Bryndel looks like in her classroom; that's plexiglass on 3 sides of her desk.

We caught the last sunset of the summer with cousins over the Labor day weekend. Meanwhile Kyle was in Colorado on the hunt of a lifetime...
We might be eating sheep for a while!

Hadley also had some hunting luck this month! She shot this beautiful 8 pointer out of Grandpa's stand with her bow! Perfect shot through both lungs at 30 yards. Not sure who was more excited!?

And to finish the month out strong, we have officially decided to finally build on our land!! This coming spring, when the house will likely be completed, we will have owned the land for 15 years! We had a pizza party with Grandma 'in' the staked out house :)
