Easter 2018

Despite the chilly temperatures, we spent a great weekend at Grandma's celebrating Easter with lots of love and laughter.
Lots of snuggling and stories with Grandma.
Love from Oma & Opa,
Great Grandma Joan, and
Great Grandpa Jerry. Followed by thee coldest egg hunt to date!

Tons of good food.

And brains. Hahaha! We were really just messing with Mike, who hates how spaghetti noodles look :)
Cousin time galore.

And, celebrating the ressurection of Jesus together on Easter Sunday.

We missed Mike & family more than words can say, but we know God is watching over them.

March 2018

We took full advantage of our beautifully snow laden property during March. We spent more hours snowshoeing, hiking, and sledding than ever before. It was SO much fun!!

Hot chocolate breaks are a must!

 Lots of sister love!

It was fun to watch the snow melt from week to week.  And some days were even warm enough to shed layers!
Hadley & her friends, the Three Musketeers, made it into the Battle of the Books final!
Piper brought home a recorder!
And Bryndel got a prize for not sucking her fingers any more!
We got a morning of game playing with Cyndy over spring break :)
The girls made their first batch of cookies just the three of them... delicious too!

And we finished out spring break with a trip up north to spend time with Ava and Aria. Now, if we could just melt that snow and bring on spring!

Cape Coral Adventure

We went on an adventure to Cape Coral, FL last week. And, it was with Grandma! The sun, fresh salty air, laughter, swimming, and togetherness was priceless. And while it was definitely hard without Grandpa, we enjoyed telling stories and remembering funny things about him. His spirit was very much alive with us throughout the week.
Uncle Dave helped us breeze right through the airport!
We spent much of the week in the backyard pool, fully enclosed by a screened in lanai.

Playing 'Pearl' one of their favorite made up pool games :)

In addition to our daily ice cream rule on vacation, we added daily swimming, and daily meals outside as well!

Kyle & the girls made good use of the backyard canal by fishing and kayaking. Grandma & I kept our distance thanks to a plethora of iguanas!

We also went to Sanibel Island beach, and the Cape Coral Yacht Club beach.

We hiked through a Mangrove Eco Preserve one morning.

And last, but not least, we did Grandpa's favorite vacation activity - we took in a Twins spring training game!

Hadley enjoyed a homework free week, and got in plenty of reading and star fruit eating.

Piper was also a book worm, and especially enjoyed playing in the waves at Sanibel Island.
Bryndel made sandcastles, AND lost her first tooth!!

It was a magical week. The perfect blend of fun and relaxation. Thank you, thank you Grandma, for the special week! We sure love you.
