Zoo Day

The big sisters did not have school today, so we took a little 'field trip' to Como Zoo! Grandma & Grandpa even joined us for a little springtime adventure.

One of the highlights of the day was getting to see the orangutans. Piper has been researching them for a school project and the importance of animals in the Bible (that's an orangutan in the box behind her!)

Paige's Shower

Hard to believe that Paige's wedding is just around the corner, and it is time for her bridal shower! It was a beautiful morning and shower, just like the bride to be!

Lots of loving hands preparing for the party!

The girls were tickled that we even got to have Aunt Bev stay at our house!

They made sure to pay a visit to Uncle Frank's new calves too.

We finished out the weekend with the turkey hunters at our house. Kyle got a nice one Sunday morning. He's gutting it out in the picture below. Which one of these is not like the other, hehe?

Easter 2016

We were blessed with an Easter in MN this year.  And, it was so much fun!  

Grandma and Grandpa made fast work of the Easter preparations, as they returned from FL just 4 days before!  I think its safe to say they were happy to have all the commotion :)
!


 












The kids were blessed with an evening of time spent with their Great-Grandparents too!

A good old fashioned egg hunt occured on Saturday morning (before the rain).

They were all delighted by the simple treasure of finding eggs with their buddies.

And the cutest Grandma ever, hanging up her specially made T-shirts for each grandchild.  One side with their birth order number on them, and one side sporting their name.  And, also color coded by family, of course!

Saturday afternoon we were treated to ice cream at Joe & Nancy's new ice cream shop! It was a hit to say the least!
 
We had a lovely morning in town at Grandma & Grandpa's church, but ended up heading home early with a bucket in Hadley's lap.  Thankfully, she is already on the mend today! 

Spring Break Week

We have had a fun and adventurous week of spring break!

First thing on the agenda, was getting me out to appreciate that teepee! He really is Fun Dad!

Just us girls spent the day at an indoor climbing park in the Twin Cities on Monday.

And we got lucky and caught Grandma & Grandpa for lunch on their way back in from FL!

We goofed around a little bit more before heading home.

We spent another morning hiking around together.

Hadley & Kyle were a bit more brave in their hiking...












The girls and I took in a matinee while eating a lot of popcorn.

Much to their delight, Hadley & Piper learned to climb the pine tree in our backyard.

We spent a creative morning at the children's museum with Cyndy, followed by a pizza lunch.

While watching the snow pile up outside, they threw a play-doh birthday party for some lucky stuffed animals.

And last but not least, we played in the 10 inches of snow!! What? Over spring break? Got to love Wisconsin!

Now we get to concentrate on celebrating Easter!
