July 2025

Summer is the best! Bryndel got a few days with just Grandma before the 4th of July! And even got to help scoop ice cream with Aunt Nancy!

She's also been playing a lot of hoops out front!

We made a quick trip out west for a few days acclimating to the altitude in Colorado, and got in some incredible hikes!

Gorgeous picnic spot! We exchanged numbers with another set of hikers who took this photo of us and texted it to Kyle! We nearly made the whole 6 mile trek without injury. Unfortunately, Hadley slipped and gashed open her knee on a rock right near the end. She got a little triage right in the back of the vehicle, and has healed well with her butterfly bandages. We finished out our CO time in Estes Park and a day in Rocky Mountain National Park.

To finish out the month, Piper and her friends are getting ready for FCA Leadership Camp!

And we are, of course, getting ready to take Hadley in a couple short weeks. All of which is s

bittersweet. But we are SO excited and grateful to see God work in her new adventure 💗

June 2025

Well, we have a graduate!! Hadley graduated from high school on 06/04/25, with highest honors, as the Valedictorian. She was beautiful, inside and out, as she gave her address. We could not have been more proud ❤️

Just a few days after graduation, Hadley, Grandma, and I zipped down to Kirksville, MO so she could register for classes at Truman State! (Pictured in front of her dorm.)

Then we high-tailed it back to prepare for her grad party at the end of that week! Disappointingly, it was a brisk 50 degree ice cream party!! But we still had a blast, and couldn't believe how many people came to celebrate Hadley!

Bryndel has been busy playing basketball, going to camps, and getting contacts!

We slipped away for a HOT weekend at the lake! 

Bryndel had her St.Mary's friends for a sleepover and (left over grad party) ice cream party!

Piper has been busy recovering from a mild (basketball elbow to the nose) concussion, and attending FCA Sports Camp for cross country this fall! 

We finished out the month with a special evening of games, and of course ice cream with the Henson family! Summer is the best!

May 2025

We are wrapping up Hadley's senior year around here!  It has been bittersweet. Special, sweet, and at times unbelievably sad. All of that to say, we are SO proud and SO excited of our Hadley girl!!

Hadley sent Kyle and I for an overnight up exploring the Copper Falls State park!

Bryndel had a great spring band concert. 

Hadley got to induct Piper into NHS!

Hadley has been running some great 4x100 and 4x200 races! And Piper some great 4x400 and 4x800 races!

Hadley was awarded the World Language Department award as well as Class Valedictorian!

We spent a day up in Poplar working with Kara, Frank, and Kraig on Grandma A's yard.

Grandma has made it to a couple track meets!

We spent a great Memorial Day weekend at the lake with cousins!

Including my cousin Lindsay and her little Ian and Ada!

Both Hadley and Piper advanced from Regionals to Sectionals eith their relay teams, and Piper’s 4x800 team also advanced to State!

April 2025

Well, we are in the home stretch of Hadley's senior year! It seems that every week brings a 'last' of some kind. I am not sure whether to breathe a sigh of gratefulness or pull out another kleenex. It's a lot ❤️

Track season has been chilly but oh so fun! Hadley has been busy long & triple jumping, running the 4x200 relay, and the 300 hurdles! Piper has been running combinations of 400s & 800s!

We also celebrated the beautiful life of my grandma Joan over the Easter weekend. I am grateful for her example of treasuring family. She would have been tickled to see me & Angie together!
