We spent a wonderful, albeit rainy, Memorial Day weekend just the 5 of us. One of the highlights being an adventure out at our Land floating boats down the little creek.
Piper very carefully nudged hers along, and hollered for Daddy when she needed help.
Kyle & the girls hand made their boats/ rafts from take-out food containers, popsicle sticks, and bottle caps.
And, as you might guess, if you decide to try and haphazardly walk through all of the mud & debris with your six year old legs... you might lose a boot, or worse...
DRENCH yourself in the 4 inch creek, and lose your pants (hehe). Kyle and I were not surprised in the least, as we have been secretly referring to our Happy Hadley lately, as 'Heedless Hadley!' Her life motto, seems to be, Go Hard or Go Home.
Bryndel just took it all in, and was content to watch from her stroller, or the trail, or my arms. I think its safe to say, that she likes the Land too :)
We finished out the weekend at the local parade. Ahhh, we can smell summer in the air...

Hunting Buddies
Kyle took the girls out early this past Sunday morning to try and call in some turkeys. They got to see a handful, and had a blast hanging out together while staying dry in the ground blind.
Little Rocker
Bryndel has started 'rocking it out' over the past couple of days. We are waiting to see when she'll figure out how to move it forward, but are having fun watching her rock back & forth. I've even found her doing it up in her crib with her blanket sleeper on!

9 months
Wow! Hard to believe our little Bryndel is 9 months old today! She is still, as sweet as ever...
She's been babbling lots of sounds now (Da da, ma ma, ba ba, na na). Adores her sisters, thinks the world of her dad.
Is often just a blur while scooting around the house (no crawling or pulling up on anything just yet).
Still loves her toes (and drools a lot, ha), but is not a very good sitter as of yet. She tipped as I was taking this photo! And she can officially grind her teeth now, as she has two lower & one upper now.
She loves being outside, and has discovered how to put things in her mouth. Not so fond of leaves or grass, but loves to eat teeny orange pieces off of her highchair tray.
And when she's tired, or scared, or just not quite sure, she's quick to push her first two left fingers (backwards) into her mouth with the help of her right hand :)

Slip ON the Slide
The girls didn't waste any time this week getting out the sprinkler. In fact, they even convinced me to hook it up right over the top of their slide. It proved to be hours of entertainment for them as well as Bryndel & me. And thankfully, the only thing that took a beating, was the grass at the bottom of the slide!

Program Week
It has been a fun week of school programs, concerts, & activities for both big sisters. Piper's Spring Party Program came first, and she was a delight to watch :)
We had two very special guests with us that evening as well... Grandma & Grandpa made a surprise visit to watch Piper!! She was thrilled, to say the least, as were both Hadley & Bryndel.
The girls got a little extra love the following morning before Grandma & Grandpa headed back to MN.
Hadley had her concert on Thursday evening! She was also a delight to watch :) And thankfully, we were ALL able to attend both programs (unlike the Christmas programs where I missed one and Kyle missed the other thanks to the flu!),
And we finished out the week with Hadley's special 'Walk for Virtues' day long field trip! We joined her for the picnic lunch along with our good friend, Cyndy!
Bryndel enjoyed the beautiful day as well, and sure enjoyed people watching!
And I almost forgot, last weekend (before this exciting program week) we got to have some special Auntie Kim time while cheering for Paige (and my buddy, Erin :) during the half marathon. How can anyone look that good after running? What a great week!

Swimming Lessons
The girls had a blast over the past couple of months, attending swimming lessons on Sunday afternoons. Yesterday was their final lesson, which makes us extra anxious for summer!
Piper continued to be tentative in the water, but grew more and more confident with each passing week.
She obviously learned to enjoy it as well!
And Hadley, learned to swim! Pure joy was written across her face every time she realized that she could really do it all by herself.
She even grew brave enough to jump off the diving board without her teacher (but with the security of her noodle).
Bring on the summer weather!
