Who said camo isn't cute? Man, do Piper & those curls ever make it look good!
Much to their delight, the hunters saw 7 deer from their buddy tree stand, and had beautiful weather to boot!

2 Months!
Bryndel is 2 months old today!
She loves her daddy, especially his snuggles or when he reads books to her & her big sisters (see below)!
Bryndel had special visitors this past week as well; my dear college friends Katie & Sara made the trip just to meet her!

Can You Tell What I'm Doing?
Uh, huh. I looove my new found thumb! So much, in fact, that it keeps me sleeping through the night! This seems to make my mom exceptionally happy, and my sisters think its hilarious. They don't know this, but I have been secretly watching them suck their left thumbs, and I can definitely report that it really is all that its cracked up to be!
We must have a 'left thumb' gene in our family!

Birthday Weekend
Much to Kyle's delight, I have now joined him in the mid-30's, ha! And I have SO much to be thankful for. Three beautiful & healthy little girls, a warm home, and a wonderfully hardworking & loving husband. Life is good. God is good.
Uncle Kraig came through town and met Bryndel on Friday!
And Auntie Kara came to visit on Saturday to get some girlie hugs and stuff a scarecrow with them!

Pretty in Pink
It should come as no surprise that Bryndel is as pretty in pink as her big sisters; or that they were the ones who picked out her outfit today :).

Humor Heals Hardship
We had a triple H moment over the weekend, that made us laugh so hard we cried! I suppose it was really a 4H moment, since it was Hadley's doing (Hadley Heals Hardship with Humor)...
Kyle had just returned home, excited as a school boy, from his bow hunt. After describing the hunt in detail, as well as acting out the buck's final movements, he climbed onto the bed to hug me up. While I was doing my best to be uber excited for my hunter, I was sick in bed with my 5th bout of mastitis. Ugh. He asked how the morning had gone, and I mentioned that I had just heard Bryndel fill her pants over the monitor. Hadley, who was sitting at the foot of the bed, asked, "What did Mom say?" Kyle told her, "Mom heard Bryndel poop her pants!" Which, as you might imagine, brought on a lot of giggles from Piper.
The 3 of them then headed into the playroom to start getting the cameras ready for all of the important buck pictures to be taken shortly. And on their way back, Hadley quietly said to Kyle with a very serious face, "Isn't it funny that Mom pooped her pants?"
Kyle could not even respond to her, as his body was choked with laughter. He made it back to my side to whisper to me through snorts! We both laid their crying with laughter, until we finally had enough air to explain to the perplexed Hadley that it was really Bryndel who had the messy pants. Needless to say, Hadley's moment of humor totally healed me from the inside out. I have laughed several times since and am so thankful for her diversion.

Bow Hunting Triumph!
Kyle was rewarded this Sunday for all of the long hours spent preparing our Land to be a 'Deer Haven,' by shooting his biggest buck to date! And a 54 yard shot by his ever steady bow to boot!!! Needless to say, he was 'quite' excited...
His faithful tracking buddies were thrilled to be a part of finding the buck. And with a perfect shot to the lungs, they only went 45 yards into the woods to find it.
It is a beautiful 10 point buck, with a lot of gnarly character around the base, and scoring in at a whopping 153!
And this wouldn't be a real hunting triumph if Kyle's buddy Randy wasn't there to be a part of it!

6 Weeks!
Bryndel is 6 weeks old today!
Starting to get interested in her toys!
Uh, huh. Piper actually asked to hold her baby sister! And, she (they) loved it!
Daddy read the bedtime chapter book to all 3 beauties last night! Not sure Bryndel was so enthused, but Hadley & Piper sure thought it was fun to have her there!
